Yula Account and Data Deletion
Yula allows users to request deletion of their account and associated data.
In-App Deletion
Users can delete their account from:
Settings -> Delete Account
The app asks for confirmation and may require signing in again. If a story is still being generated, the request stops further generation work and asks the user to retry after it has stopped. If server cleanup fails, the app reports that deletion has not finished and requires a retry.
What Is Deleted
When server account deletion succeeds, Yula deletes:
- the user account record;
- saved comics, generated prompts/job records, and uploaded comic images;
- journal entries;
- user preferences and settings data, including account-linked notification tokens;
- uploaded profile photos;
- the Firebase authentication account.
Some deletion-status/security records, infrastructure logs and backups may remain. RevenueCat, Apple/Google purchase records and AI-provider processing records have separate retention rules and are not all erased by the Firebase account-deletion operation. No immediate erasure from every provider or fixed purge schedule for every backup/log is promised. Legal, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting or dispute-resolution obligations may also require limited retention.
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it separately in Apple App Store or Google Play settings. Files and links already exported or shared cannot be recalled from recipients.
If In-App Deletion Is Unavailable
Users can request deletion by contacting:

The request should include the email address associated with the account and, if relevant, the platform used to sign in.
Processing Time
We aim to process deletion requests within a reasonable period after verification of the requester’s identity.
